A Lovely Evening at St Laurence Pastoral Centre

Atmosphere

Our Christmas wreath workshop on 28 November felt warm and welcoming from the moment everyone arrived. We had a smaller group than usual with four lovely ladies, which gave the evening a calm and friendly pace. The tables were set with fresh foliage, berries and ribbons. A glass of fizz and a mince pie helped everyone settle in and enjoy the start of the festive season.

The Process

We began by showing the basic steps, then everyone got stuck in. With a smaller group there was plenty of time to chat, laugh and ask questions. The room filled with the scent of pine as the wreaths started to take shape. Each person worked at their own speed. Some kept their wreaths classic and natural. Others added bright touches to make theirs stand out. It felt relaxed and creative.

What People Said

The smaller group made the evening feel personal. People said they enjoyed having time to ask for tips and experiment with ideas. The relaxed pace and festive treats added to the atmosphere. It felt like a gentle pause in a busy season.
